Monthly Favorites: November 2020

Monthly Favorites - November Favorites

Yet another month has flown by, and I’ve got another round of my monthly favorites that I’m excited to share with you. If you’re looking for some new things to watch, I’ve definitely got you covered this month! Check out these recommendations and let me know what you think!

November Favorites:

Dash & Lily

This Netflix show follows two strangers named Dash and Lily who meet and communicate through a red notebook. The show follows their story as they challenge each other to different dares.

I’ve read two out of the three Dash & Lily books so I was very excited when I found out they were making a Netflix series based on the books. I thought season one was pretty on par with the book and an overall cute holiday romance. I’m a huge Jonas Brothers fan so I thought it was cool that Nick Jonas was a producer and the Jonas Brothers had a cameo.

Ratched

This is another new(ish) series I started in November. I’m only a couple episodes in, but I’m hooked already. I’ve heard it has some American Horror Story vibes if you’re a fan of that series.

Gone Girl

I’ve heard such good things about the Gone Girl book and movie. I know they came out years ago, but if you haven’t seen or read this thriller yet, I highly recommend you do so now. I’ve found that Gillian Flynn’s books can start off slow, but her mind blowing endings are always worth it. The movie is available on Hulu.

Birds of Prey

I still haven’t seen Suicide Squad yet, so I wasn’t sure if I would like this movie or Harley Quinn for that matter. It turns out, I enjoyed Harley Quinn’s story a lot more than I thought I would. Birds of Prey is available to watch on HBO Max.

Stardew Valley

This is a video game where you inherit your grandfather’s farm plot and have to start everything from scratch. I bought the game last year, but I didn’t get very into it because it can be difficult to learn and takes time to get things going.

I started watching playthroughs on YouTube so I could learn how to do things, and now I’m hooked! I’d say it’s like a combination of Minecraft and Animal Crossing. I like how you can play the game your own way and at your own pace. What’s cool is that this game is on every platform. If you’re looking for a relaxing game to play in your downtime, give Stardew Valley a try!

Be sure to let me know if you try any of these recommendations in the comments! What things have you been loving lately?

Until next time,
