My 2020 Reading List

One of my goals for 2020 is to read at least one book each month. We’re over the halfway point of January, and I’ve already finished one book and I’m almost finished with another. I’m trying to make it a habit to read at least 20 minutes each day to help reach my goal, and it’s been making a big difference so far! Last year, I read off and on and was only able to finish 6 books. If I keep up my daily reading habit, I’m sure I can reach my goal this year!

Some books on my 2020 reading list are books that I already own, and some books I will be reading through the Libby library app. Currently, not every book I want to read is available through the Libby app, so I’m only covering half of my reading list for now until more books become available.

2020 Reading List

Books on my 2020 Reading List:

The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney

This was the first book I read for January. This is a thriller that switches between the perspectives of a woman moving into a new house, and the woman who lived in the house before her. This was a recommendation from Renee Amberg on Youtube, and it kept me on my toes! The only part I was a little disappointed in was the ending.

The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan

This is a Christmas themed book if you couldn’t already tell by the title. I meant to read it before Christmas, but I didn’t find the time to start reading it. Since we’re still in the winter months, I figured I might as well read it now. This book is a sequel to Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares, which I absolutely loved. I’m almost finished with this book, and so far, it’s not as good as the first book but it’s still a cute holiday romance if you want to add it to your holiday reading list.

The Institute by Stephen King

This was another recommendation from Renee, so I thought I would give it a try since I liked her other recommendation. I’ve never finished a Stephen King book before, but it’s always been on my list of things to do. I’m hoping I’ll like this one so I can check out some of his other books.

The Last House Guest by Megan Miranda

I’ve been on a thriller kick lately, so most of the books on this list are in the thriller category. I don’t know much about this book, but I’ve seen a few random people recommend it so I thought I’d give it a try.

The Perfect Wife by J.P. Delaney

I added this book to my list at the last minute after finishing The Girl Before. I really like J.P. Delaney’s style of writing, so I’m hoping this book will be just as good.

Every Day by David Levithan

I’ve been a big fan of David Levithan ever since I found out he co-wrote Will Grayson, Will Grayson with John Green. I’ve read a few of his other books, and he has a similar style to John Green (my favorite author). This book has been on my list for a while, and there’s even a movie based on this book that came out in 2018. I’ve put off watching the movie, because I want to read the book first.

If you want to follow along with me on my reading journey, be sure to follow me on my Goodreads account. I’ll try to keep it updated with what book I’m currently reading and review each book once I finish it.

What books are you looking forward to reading in 2020? I’d love to know what’s on your list!

Until next time,
