Monthly Favorites: April 2019 + Playlist

Hi guys! I hope you all have been enjoying the warm weather as much as I have been. A new month is here, which means I’ve got another Monthly Favorites post for you. Today, I’m sharing all of my favorite things from the past month, including one of my current favorite shows, books, food and more. If you’re in need of a good recommendation, or are just curious what I’ve been loving, I’ve got you covered.

The Act

I started watching this on Hulu, not knowing anything about it. The show consists of eight episodes, and it is based on a true story. I won’t give too much away for those of you who were like me and hadn’t ever heard the story before, but I loved it! I was instantly sucked into Gypsy’s life and her relationship with her mother. If you like shows with a little bit crime and mystery, I highly recommend it!

My mom and I found a funny video of this cat on Facebook, and we couldn’t believe he was real! We found his Instagram account, and I started following him. Every time a photo of this cat pops up on Instagram, he brings a smile to my face. How could you not love him?!?

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

I stumbled across this book at Goodwill, and I got it for 99 cents! This was my book for the month of April, and I loved it! I could relate to Gretchen on so many levels. I loved reading about her Happiness Project, and I’m even tempted to start my own. I learned a lot of things from her story, and I’ve been trying to implement a few of her rules into my own life.

Fajita Nachos

My boyfriend and I had a date night when we went to go see Avengers: Endgame (left me SHOOK btw), and we went and ate at Riviera Maya in Columbus, IN. If you live in the area, you HAVE to try their fajita nachos. I’ve tried fajita nachos at other places, but they don’t even COMPARE to the ones at Riviera Maya. Not to mention, you get a big enough plate of nachos to feed three people. You also need to try the Choriqueso while you’re there!

Music

As always, I’ve compiled a playlist of all my April favorites in music. I still can’t get over the Jonas Brothers getting back together (you already know their newest release is on the playlist). I’ve also been having a lot of nostalgia from the State Champs show in March, so I’ve been jamming to some State Champs and Grayscale. I’ve included some other songs worth mentioning, but I’ll just let you check them out for yourselves. I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do:
